About me

I have been  teaching yoga since  2002 and my  greatest passion is  sharing the joy and  benefits of yoga  with others. The  yoga I teach is of a creative nature, using themes and imagery with smooth transitions between postures. It is a style that is gentle and nurturing, with options and modifications of postures so everyone can participate. Bhava yoga is inclusive, not exclusive; you are encouraged to move your body in a way that is ALWAYS pain free and in a comfortable range of movement. Bhava yoga is a moving meditation (many students practice much of the class with their eyes closed), where your body, breath and awareness are moving as one – this is union, this is yoga.

As co-owner of Bhava Yoga and Dance Centre, I look forward to seeing the centre continue to grow, offering more classes, workshops, yoga teacher training and retreats in 2016.  I am an IAYT certified yoga therapist, Level 1 iRest® -Yoga Nidra teacher in training and trained in Lifeforce Yoga for Anxiety and Depression.

I am happily married with two boys aged 18 and 20.

Yoga has been my rock; through the illness and death of my father, navigating teenage boys and the emotional roller coaster of my menopause at 43. Yoga is my constant companion, my source of strength, my voice of inner wisdom and guidance.

Through practice I find of clarity , stillness, patience and peace.

Like sugar stirred into tea,
the potency of yoga spreads
from body into mind and heart,
revealing an ocean of energy
that heals and opens,
holds me close and sets me free
all in the same moment.

I wish I could visit your yoga/dance center. Sounds wonderful. Best of luck. I am a newly certified teacher and am interested in yoga therapy as well. Also a dancer and mother of three. (8, 12, 13)

Thanks for your comment. If you are ever this way, would love you to come to our centre. This year I am looking to explore the balance between work, leisure and family. In light of this, I find this question very useful : “Who is getting the best of me?”

Good luck with finding your balance.

      All the best,
