I have been teaching yoga since 2002 and my passion is sharing the joy and benefits of yoga with others. The yoga I teach is of a creative nature, using themes and imagery with smooth transitions between postures. The practices are gentle and nurturing, with options and modifications so everyone can participate. Bhava yoga is inclusive, not exclusive; you are encouraged to move your body in a way that is pain free and in a comfortable range of movement. Many students practice much of the class with their eyes closed (a moving Meditation) where your body, breath and awareness are moving as one – this is union, this is yoga.
I am vice president of Yoga Australia, an IAYT certified yoga therapist and offer individual sessions in person and online. I have completed Level 2 iRest® -Yoga Nidra training and am currently completing iRest Certification. This is a 2 year study of the ancient teachings, a deepening of my understanding of the fundamental principles and teachings that underlie iRest, plus an ongoing commitment to personal practice.
Yoga has been my rock; through the illness and death of my father, navigating teenage boys and the emotional roller coaster of my menopause at 43. Yoga is my constant companion, my source of strength, my voice of inner wisdom and guidance.
Through practice I find of clarity , stillness, patience and peace.
